Πανεπιστήμιο Justus Liebig Giessen (JLU) της Γερμανίας, με το οποίο το ΑΠΘ διατηρεί Συμφωνία Επιστημονικής Συνεργασίας, σχετικά με πρόγραμμα υποτροφιών με τίτλο “Planetary Scholars & Artists in Residence Program”.
Το τετραετές πρόγραμμα υποτροφιών προσκαλεί ερευνητές και καλλιτέχνες να υποβάλουν αίτηση για τις υποτροφίες, ενώ στοχεύει να τονώσει τον διεπιστημονικό διάλογο μεταξύ των ανθρωπιστικών επιστημών, των κοινωνικών επιστημών, των φυσικών επιστημών και των τεχνών. Απευθύνεται σε επιστήμονες και καλλιτέχνες που ερευνούν τις διαφορετικές σχέσεις μεταξύ κοινωνιών και πλανήτη στα ερευνητικά τους έργα, με έμφαση σε ζητήματα πλανητικών χώρων.
Οι υπότροφοι πρέπει να έχουν αποδεδειγμένο προηγμένο ακαδημαϊκό ή καλλιτεχνικό αρχείο σχετικό με Πλανητικούς Χώρους. Πρέπει να δεσμευτούν για διαμονή τριών μηνών στην ευρύτερη περιοχή του Giessen και να είναι πρόθυμοι να συμμετέχουν ενεργά στις δράσεις που αναφέρονται στην πρόσκληση καθώς και να συνδιοργανώσουν ένα (1) workshop.
Στους υποτρόφους θα χορηγείται μηνιαίο επίδομα 5.000 ευρώ/μήνα, για την κάλυψη όλων των εξόδων μετακίνησης και διαβίωσης. Επιπλέον, μπορεί να διατίθεται χρηματοδότηση για εργαστήρια, προσκεκλημένους ομιλητές, εκθέσεις, δημοσιεύσεις κ.λπ. κατόπιν αιτήματος. Συνολικά τέσσερις υποτροφίες θα χορηγηθούν για το έτος 2023, δύο υποτροφίες το εαρινό εξάμηνο (για τους μήνες Απρίλιο-Ιούνιο) και δύο για το χειμερινό (Σεπτέμβριο-Νοέμβριο).

We are happy to share with you today on behalf of the Panel on Planetary Thinking the invitation to the second round of applications for the “Planetary Scholars and Artists in Residence Program”. This innovative four-year fellowship programme based at the Justus Liebig University (JLU) fosters transdisciplinary dialogues between the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, life sciences and the arts. In 2023, two fellowships are awarded from April-June, and two others from September-November to explore PLANETARY SPACES. To contribute to each year’s thematic focus, the Panel of Planetary Thinking seeks individuals who are willing to transgress disciplinary boundaries within and resulting from their advanced, academic and creative endeavours.

Call for Applications 2023: Planetary Spaces
The Panel on Planetary Thinking at the Justus Liebig University (JLU), Germany, invites applications for the second round of a four-year fellowship program, which explores the manifold relations between societies and the planet. In 2023, two pairs of artists & scientists will be exploring Planetary Spaces in and through their collaborative projects and pilot studies. Throughout their fully funded, three months residency at the JLU, fellows gain the unique opportunity to conduct research, create artworks, and engage in transdisciplinary dialogues between the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and the arts.
